Ways to manage your account

Direct Debits

For members who may not be able to visit any of our offices Rathkeale & District Credit Union offer the facility of a Direct Debit between the members Bank Account and Rathkeale & District Credit Union. Direct Debit is a simple, reliable and economic way of making your credit union loan repayment on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Benefits to the member:

  • No worries about remembering to pay at the right time
  • No need to write out and post cheques
  • No queuing
  • Free service to members of Rathkeale & District Credit Union*

How do I setup a Direct Debit?
Visit one of our offices in Rathkeale, Adare or Croom with your bank account details to complete the setup of your direct debit.

*Note your bank may charge a fee for this service.

Pay Bills

Members may now pay utility bills at any of our branch offices (ESB, Eircom, Chorus etc.)

For a full list, contact the credit union.

* For the initial setup of the payee we will require a copy of the utility bill.

Standing Orders

Members can lodge money to savings or pay loans via standing order. Standing order mandate forms can be collected from any of Rathkeale & District Credit Union’s offices.


Your electronic chequebook

Today more and more members are moving towards making payments electronically. Our E-Cheque facility allows members to pay bills (ESB, Eircom, Board Gas, Chorus, Sky, Credit Cards etc,) electronically. The facility also enables members to transfer funds to nominated bank accounts

E-Cheques conveniently allow members to transfer funds to your nominated bank

E-Cheques are processed within 2 working days

E-Cheques are a tremendous time saver (no queuing at the bank)

E-Cheques are a Safe Simple and Convenient method of transferring money

To transfer funds via E Cheque members must have:

  • Bank Sort Code Number


(paying funds from a credit union account)

Members may transfer funds electronically to bank accounts anywhere in the Republic of Ireland and countries in the Eurozone.


(EFT, Wages, Social Welfare etc.)

In order to pay funds into your credit union account from an external source – banking online, wages, social welfare, pension payments etc., you will require your Credit Union IBAN. Please contact your local Credit Union branch for this.
