Become a Member

Eligibility for membership is determined by our common bond. Our common bond covers the parishes of Rathkeale, Croom, Adare, Ballingarry, Croagh, Banogue, Manister and Cappagh. The common bond is the factor that unites every member. To be eligible for membership persons must reside, work or be in education within our common bond.

 

In order to become a member, applicants over 16 years of age must pay a membership fee of €1 and lodge at least €5 into shares. Applicants under 16 years of age are not required to pay a membership fee.

By law we require three pieces of identification to allow us to open a new account:

  1. Photo ID, e.g. Passport, Drivers Licence
  2. Verification of Address within the last 6 months e.g. ESB Bill, Utility Bill, Bank Statement
  3. Proof of PPS Number or Tax Identification Number

For applicants under the age of 16 who do not have a passport, a copy of their birth certificate is acceptable.
