Our mission is to meet our member’s financial needs through quality service, at good value, whilst maintaining financial stability.

Consistent with the credit union philosophy, Rathkeale and District Credit Union will be the financial institution of choice for our members and potential members within our common bond.

- The principles of “not for profit, not for charity, but for service” and the philosophy of “people helping people” are the cornerstones of our organisation. We are committed to service, respect for the individual and fiscal responsibility.
- Our day-to-day decisions are based on what is in the best interest of our members.
- The member owners have democratic control (one member, one vote) of our credit union and elect from their midst a volunteer Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee.
- We hold ourselves to the highest standard of integrity, professional ethics, cooperation and team spirit.
- We recognise the importance of a financially strong and stable organisation and of a positive and supportive environment for our staff, as well as servicing our member equitably.
